Roast Eye Fillet Beef – Finish at Home

Premium beef eye fillet, seasoned and cooked gently so it stays tender, then chilled or frozen ready for a hot finish at home. Defrost if frozen, bring to room temperature, then roast briefly in a hot oven to brown, heat through and rest before slicing.

Preparation and storage notes

If frozen, defrost in the fridge (allow at least 24 hours for a whole roast).

From defrosted/chilled:
• Remove from the fridge 30–40 minutes before cooking.
• Preheat oven to 220°C (fan forced), or heat a large frying pan to high.
• Pat dry and lightly brush with oil.
• Oven finish: roast 10–15 minutes until the outside is nicely browned and the centre is hot.
OR sear in a hot pan on all sides for 1–2 minutes, then finish in the oven for 5–10 minutes.
• Rest, loosely covered, for 10–15 minutes
