Hummingbird Cake

The classic Hummingbird Cake - a mix of banana bread and pineapple helps to create a delicious moist cake plus the little pieces of pineapple help give Hummingbird Cake its unique texture. Thought to have been invented in Jamaica, probably in the late '60s it was originally called the “Doctor bird cake”, a nickname for a Jamaican variety of hummingbird called the Red-billed Streamertail!
