March's Drop
It's March 2023, baby, and as far as Tarts Anon line-ups go, it's a huge one. We're launching our newly re-vamped pre-ordering system right here on Cookaborough, feat. our 'Almost Famous' savoury tarts, DIY Party Pies (10 slices), Briefcases (5 slices) and also 3-piece feeds (3 slices, duh) on pre-order. We will also be offering DELIVERY for the first time to a different area in Melbourne each Thursday in March, commencing March 9th. Enjoy!
Half & Whole Tarts
It’s a classic vanilla custard tart but make it Tarts Anon. What does that even mean? It means make the pastry buttery and crispy, fill it with the smoothest vanilla custard and add a secret ingredient (shh!) to enhance the complexity of flavour then grate some fresh nutmeg over the top. Looking for the perfect classic tart? We’ve got you!
One of the OGs. A beautifully moist financier mix dotted with sour cherries, this tart eats well for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Someone's Nonna is beside themselves right now with the thought of us putting this classic Italian dessert into tart form. The hazards of cultural appropriation aside, we think you'll find our tarty version of a Tiramisu will make you fall in love with these classic Italian flavours all over again. Just add some signature buttery, crispy pastry is our motto. * This tart contains alcohol
Inside you'll find four iterations of malt: a dark, salted malt caramel beneath a malt chocolate cake, a layer of roasted barley custard and finally, not pictured, a topping of crispy puffed barley for added textural delight. This is not for the faint of tart.
We love Umeshu (Shōshu infused with Japanese Ume) and the flavours delicately balanced here in a layered tart that features an Ume custard topped with a peach glaze. This tart is fruity, fragrant, creamy and, well, delicious. * This tart contains alcohol
Our crunchiest tart yet, this tart is a texture explosion! A biscuity almond shortbread base is topped with a honey and sour cream custard. Perfect with a cuppa. Get walking, Walkers!
Sweet corn, mildly spicy Jalapeño and salty parmesan come together in a burst of umami deliciousness known surprisingly as the Corn and Jalapeño Tart. A corn, parmesan and jalapeño financier mix is topped with a corn custard and generously grated with Parmesan cheese. Our advice is only to make sure you grab enough for seconds.
