Cherry Gingerbread Tart
It's our classic Cherry and Almond Tart (aka Gareth's favourite tart) but we've added some Christmas spices to the mix... literally! The original version of this tart is a tribute to a dessert Gareth made way back when as an apprentice chef, and is one of the very first tarts we had on the Tarts Anon menu. We love the original and we love this Christmas-ified version, too.
Ingredients
Shortcrust pastry (Flour, Butter, Water, Salt), Marinated Cherries (Tinned sour cherries  liquid, White sugar), Gingerbread Batter (Brown butter, Egg, Almond meal, Brown sugar, Pastry butter, Golden caster sugar, Mixed spice, Ginger, Salt, Baking powder).
