Sourdough Whisky Stollen with Marzipan
A traditional German Christmas fruit bread with a uniquely Australian twist, packed full of dried fruit studded with delicious housemade marzipan, soaked in local Whipper Snapper Upshot Whisky, and dusted with sugar. Made with 100% freshly stone-milled WA Wheat flour giving it a uniquely nutty flavour. We'll be making these fresh every week in December. Smaller and more affordable than our 2023 version - great for gifts.
Ingredients
Milk, Freshly milled and sustainable wheat flour, Orange juice, Whiskey, Fresh Ginger, Butter NZ unsalted, Ground ginger, Sultanas, Currants, Cinnamon, Salt, Caster sugar, Almonds, Ground cardamom, Lemon juice, Eggs.
Preparation and storage notes
If kept wrapped in a cool dry spot your stollen will last up to 6 weeks - but we've never known anyone to resist it for that long!!
