Adi’s culinary adventure began in India, where he honed his skills at Marriott Hotels in Mumbai and Taj Hotels in New Delhi. In 2016, he moved to Melbourne and earned an Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu. Melbourne’s dynamic food scene drew him in, leading to roles at Petit Tracteur, Jackalope, Pt. Leo Estate, and a brief stint at Gaggan in Bangkok. During the 2020 pandemic, Adi launched Kesar, a take-home meal service offering Indian-inspired dishes with a weekly changing menu. The enthusiastic response from the Mornington Peninsula community inspired him to restart this journey with his wife.

Geetan transitioned from fashion design in India to patisserie in Australia. She studied hospitality management at Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne and gained experience at prestigious venues like Noisette, Grossi Florentino, Cacao, Morning Market, and Pt. Leo Estate. These experiences gave her the expertise and confidence to co-found Kesar.

Discover Kesar: In Sanskrit, ‘kesar’ means ‘saffron’. At Kesar, we celebrate spices as the heroes of our dishes, highlighting their unique flavours and aromas. Our dine-at-home experience offers a monthly changing menu. Our menus are designed to be reheated at home and all orders come with an easy set of instructions for you to follow :)

We deliver across Melbourne and its suburbs from Wednesday to Sunday between 3 pm and 7:30 pm. If your cravings won't allow you to wait for a delivery or reheating is not your cup of tea, we also offer hot, ready to eat pickups from our kitchen in Kensington. Feel free to pop in or just call us to place your order, from Wednesday to Sunday, 3 pm to 8 pm.
