In the ancient Indian language Sanskrit, 'kesar' is used to describe ‘saffron’, the powerful and highly valuable spice used throughout India for thousands of years..


Started by Adiityaa Sangwan, Kesar is a small food business providing dine-at-home meals for Friday and Saturday on the Mornington Peninsula. A different menu will released weekly which will feature contemporary Indian dishes utilising the best locally sourced ingredients. Adiityaa will be keeping the menus simple and fun, his unique take on Indian classics. Each meal serves one adult.


Menus will be available Tuesday with orders to be finalised by 10:00 Pm on Saturday. Deliveries will be made to your doorstep on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.The meals are pre prepared and all you need to do is heat, plate and enjoy at a time that suits you.


Adiityaa started his journey working at the Marriot Hotel in Mumbai and New Delhi. Lured by the dynamic food scene in Melbourne in 2016, he has since worked in the award-winning kitchens of Petit Tracteur, Jackalope and Pt Leo Estate. He has also completed a stint at the Michelin starred Gagan, which was voted No.1 in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for four years in a row from 2014 to 2018.
