Juanitas WA menu 26/9/22 to 28/9/22
This menu has a few traditional West African dishes, although West African cooking is not well known these dishes still have flavours we are all familiar with. Once you try them you will wonder why you haven't before and they will quickly become a household favourite.
MAINS - VEGAN/VEGETARIAN
A tangy lemon, onion and mustard sauce cooked with seasonal veggies and chickpeas served on a bed of spinach. Note: We use our Lemon Yassa sauce for this dish, check out other ways to use this sauce on our website.
This is a traditional West African dish that has been described as a more earthy less sweet version of a satay. Cooked in our Peanut Mafe sauce with lots chunky vegetable pieces . For a complete meal add a serve of our Mexican rice or serve with couscous. It's a perfect winter warming comfort dish.
Our Vegan chorizo mixes perfectly with roast sweet potato pieces and makes the best Tacos.
MAINS- MEAT
A deliciously moreish dish of chicken and chunky vegetable pieces cooked in an earthy peanut sauce served on a bed of spinach. For a complete meal serve with couscous.
A perfectly comforting meal of 2 Soft corn tortillas filled smokey chicken and pinto beans baked in our *Enchilada Sauce and topped with cheese. Add a serve of Mexican rice, cabbage slaw and salad greens as pictured for a extra satisfying and balanced meal.
Our pulled pork is cooked until it is so tender it falls apart, perfect for Tacos, or for a quick easy meal order it with our Mexican rice and Pinto Beans.
SWEET TREATS
Sweet and slightly salty and oh so delicious, it has a toasted almond base and caramel filling finished with a dark chocolate topping. Comes served with coconut cream. Totally vegan as well!
These tamales are filled with apple and walnut that has been cooked with a delicious blend chai spices and maple syrup. Serve warmed on their own or with some custard or vanilla ice cream.

These go great with our Salsa Picante which you can find in our Pantry section of the menu
PANTRY ITEMS
Our Salsa Picante won gold in the Australian Food Awards for the chilli/pantry goods section:) and is a definitely a favourite. It is tangy and spicy and it is a cross between a Sriracha and a famous classic Mexican salsa that has been a favourite here and in Mexico for years. The added bonus is it's completely sugar-free, sweetened with only with apples. gluten free ingredients, vegan with no added nasty stuff. A healthy hot sauce for all your spicy needs.
GOLD award and trophy winner at RASV 2013. The combination of garlic, chilli, black pepper and many other spices mixed through extra virgin olive oil makes this paste a perfect marinade for meat, fish or vegetables, or tossed through fresh pasta, used in dips or as we have been told even spread in sandwiches. !! We use it here in ourso many of our dishes. We have been told it is addictive :)
Vegan Chorizo was created to use in the restaurant. It has all the smokiness and spice you would expect from a "normal" Mexican style chorizo mince but its made with a blend of nuts. Perfect in quesadillas , combine it with some of our "build your own" items for a delicious burrito bowl or even toss it through your favourite pasta. ........ many more options for this one!!
Our Tomatillo salsa is perfect for tacos, nachos or even use it as a cooking sauce for chicken, try mixing it with the Smokey Chicken from our "build your own" menu and serving it with Mexican Rice and beans. You can also mix it with mashed avo for a delicious dip.
Impress your family and friends with our traditional cooking sauce, with over 30 ingredients including chocolate it is perfect with chicken or for a vegan version try it with eggplant. Serve it with Mexican rice, refried beans and tortillas.
SALADS/SIDES/EXTRAS
Pico de gallo is freshly chopped mix of tomato, onion and coriander, perfect on Tacos with a squeeze of lime and your favourite salsa, or pop it in your burrito bowl. Tip: mash an avocado and add equal quantity of our pico, add a pinch of salt and lime juice to make the best guacamole ever!
Red Cabbage Slaw is freshly made and perfect for adding to Pulled pork tacos or your burrito bowl.
Our pinto beans are a perfect side, cooked to perfection with some of our Spicy Noccas they go great with the Mexican rice and your choice of protein.
Creamy refried pinto beans are perfect to serve as an accompaniment with many of our dishes, or enjoy them as a dip with corn chips.
A perfect accompaniment, our Mexican style rice is full of flavour and loaded with peas, corn and carrots. It's also great on its own as a light meal or toss some of our chorizo mince through it. A staff favourite for lunch with some pinto beans and pulled pork.
