Carbonara Sauce
This creamy bacon and parmesan sauce is the ultimate comfort food. Whilst the use of bacon and cream as an accompaniment in Italian cuisine goes back to the Romans, this modern incarnation adds some seasoned depth. Best served with pasta and topped with parmesan cheese. 500g serves 2 adults
Ingredients
Cream, Bacon, White wine, Onion, Milk, Chicken stock, Parmesan, Garlic, Cornflour (GF), Canola oil, Garnish - Carbonara Sauce (Parsley, Parmesan), Salt, Tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Vegeta, Apple cider vinegar, Mustard, Sugar, Pepper.
Preparation and storage notes
Use w/in 4 days of defrosting. Loosen the lid, microwave for 3 minutes, stir, and microwave for further 3 minutes. Cooking time will vary depending on the microwave. Serve with pasta and parmesan cheese.
