Japanese Negi Miso Sauce
This sauce is packed full of umame flavour and gut healing miso paste. Store is in your freezer and spoon it over grilled vegetables (particularly eggplant), fried tofu and seared salmon or chicken. It is delicious. Spice it up by adding some finely diced ginger to the mix.
Ingredients
Sliced leek, miso paste Shiro, Japanese mirin, cooking sake, white sugar, sesame oil, Soy sauce (gluten free).
Preparation and storage notes
Re-heat the sauce gently in a microwave. You can add a little water if it is too thick. Spoon over fried eggplant, any grilled fish (add some finely chopped or pickled ginger) or chicken. It freezes well.
