Smoked ham hocks from my butcher Trevor are simmered with vegetables to make a rich stock with dried & fresh peas & finished with a little cream. I blitz the soup for a smooth texture & add the shredded ham hock on top. Perfect on its own or with a bit of toast.

Ingredients
water, ham hock, split pea, Pea, Onion, Carrot, Potato, Cream, Leek, Sea salt, fresh parsley, Celery, Peppercorn.
Preparation and storage notes
Remove lid & microwave for 2 minutes until heated through.
