Hello! I'm Leora, a qualified chef with over 15 years of experience both overseas and here in Australia. After taking some time off to raise my two wonderful children, I found myself drawn back into the culinary world. Whilst living in Kalgoorlie, I started a business called "Outside Eats with Leora." It began with running a school canteen and soon expanded into providing catering services and delicious take-home meals. Over time, these meals evolved, and I discovered my true passion: sourdough.
Sourdough has always fascinated me with its rich history and health benefits. It's incredible how this ancient bread, dating back thousands of years, can be so versatile and full of unique flavours. As you will discover on my weekly menu's, the possibilities are endless what you can make with sourdough starter. Everyone in your family will love the variety and have their favourites, including your pet dog with my sourdough doggie treats. Some of my signature and most popular creations include Nutella Sourdough, Sourdough Pizza Loaf and Camembert, Cranberry, and Walnut Sourdough.
At Sweet & Sourdough, we offer more than just delicious, preservative-free loaves and breads. You can also satisfy your sweet cravings with our waffles, cakes, slices, biscuits, and scones. I love experimenting with new flavours and creating both new delights and cherished favourites, so there's always something exciting to try.
Every loaf from Sweet & Sourdough is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation made with love and care. Unlike mass-produced breads, our loaves vary slightly in shape and design, adding to their charm. We use quality ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible, and a wild yeast starter that makes our bread more digestible, lower in gluten, and rich in beneficial bacteria. This natural process also reduces phytic acid, making it easier for your body to absorb the wide variety of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.
My passion is to bring good quality, flavourful sourdough breads and baked goods made with simple, honest ingredients to your table. I hope to share my love for baking and create a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who visits Sweet & Sourdough.
How it works...
Each week, a new menu comes out at 7pm on a Friday night (straight to your inbox). Orders need to be placed 2 days before to allow time for the sourdough levain to build and allow 24hrs overnight fermentation to achieve that great taste and extra health benefits. Orders can be placed initially 3 times a week. If you miss the cut off, you will have to place your order for next available day. At this stage I only offer pickup from my Kingsley home.
If there is a special event or small catering that is outside of my available bake days, please don't hesitate to contact me via email and I'll do my best t to accommodate.
1. Orders are open from Friday 7pm until Sunday 7pm for pickup Tuesday.
2. Orders are open from Friday 7pm until Monday 7pm for pickup Wednesday.
3. Orders are open from Friday 7pm until Wednesday 7pm for pickup Friday.

Wednesday & Friday in 2 time slots 11.15am-1pm or 4pm-6pm
