Frequently Asked Questions

Below you will find helpful answers to all your questions. If you have a question and can't see the answer to it, please get in touch and we will let you know the answer and will add it to our FAQs for the next person who might have the same question.

Where do you make your meals?

All of our meals are prepared at the Our Ruby Girl café located in Como.

What are your pick-up times?

Our café is open every day from 6 am to 4 pm, and orders will be available to collect during these times. Just let us know when works for you.

What are your delivery times?

You can pick your delivery time at the checkout once you have selected your meals. We deliver between 10 am and 5 pm on Mondays.

 

Who will deliver my meals?

Our lovely staff will deliver your meals. We embrace diversity and inclusion and we actively seek to employ individuals with disabilities, recognising their unique talents and contributions. Our staff with disability will likely deliver your meals and may come with a support worker.

We kindly ask for your patience in case they take a little longer than expected. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Can I pick up outside times listed?

We will do our best to accommodate pick-up times outside of our opening hours. Please email us with your request.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Absolutely! Please let us know of any special dietary requirements and we will endeavour to cater for you.

Do you cater outside this menu?

Yes! We have a Coffee Van and Gelato Cart and offer a delicious selection of catering alternatives along with our home delivery menu. Please get in touch if you are interested!

Are your meals fresh or frozen?

Our meals are cooked fresh each week and snap-frozen. They will keep for up to six months. Storage instructions are on the label.

Do your meals come with cooking instructions?

Yes! Each meal includes heating instructions, along with the ingredients, and allergens.

If I order the meal packs can I add other items as well?

Absolutely you can! Once you have selected your meal pack, you can then add other items into your shopping cart.

When does your menu open?

Our weekly home delivery menu is available from Wednesday at 9am until Sunday at 11pm. Each week, we offer a different selection of meals so you can always try something new!

Where do you deliver?

Our kitchen is located in Como and we offer delivery within a 6km radius of the cafe.

Can I order from this menu if I’m not on the NDIS or have a Home Care Package?

Absolutely! Anyone can order from this menu.

How do I access your meals under my NDIS and/or Home Care Plan (HCP)?

If you are on the NDIS or have a Home Care Package and would like to order meals via your allowance we would be thrilled to help you. To use this service please first sign up by clicking the ‘follow’ button at the top of this page. Once you have done this send an email to events@ourubygirl.com to let us know you would like to order via your NDIS or HCP allowance and we’ll get you set up. Once you are set up you will be able to order and pay 30% with the balance invoices to your Care Provider or Plan Manager.
