About us

Following a move to Perth for husband Lee’s work, and weeks looking for a place to call home, our family came across the wonderful hill’s community of Darlington, where we bought our forever home. Then Covid hit, and like so many, we found ourselves abruptly out of work.

After time spent catering in Darwin and the need to keep busy, Lou started baking sweet and savory treats, advertising to the community on Facebook and Instagram. Quickly realizing the neighbour’s had a craving for quality home cooking and with word of mouth spreading tales of deliciousness – orders started flooding through.

Upgrading a backyard building to a commercial kitchen, late in 2021, has enabled Lou to expand her offering to the Perth Hill’s locals. Lou provides catering for schools; corporate and private events and you can find her baked treats in local eateries, such as the popular Reflections Café at Lake Leschenaultia.

Lou’s Kitchen take-home meals have become a saviour for busy families and are available each week with changing seasonal menus, whilst also supporting other local hill’s businesses. With main meal offerings for two and four people and a range of ‘other bits’ which can include quiches and a sweet treat or two.

How it works

Menus will be available on a Friday, with cut off for orders 12 noon Monday. Delivery is free to local areas on Wednesdays between 4-6.30pm or with prior arrangement, collected from the kitchen. Contactless delivery is available.
