Ladro is a ground-breaking popular eatery serving traditional wood-fired pizza and a modern take on traditional Italian fare. It has been widely said Ladro was the catalyst in getting Gertrude Street “back on the map” as one of Melbourne’s iconic streets. It’s also been touted as the restaurant to kick off Melbourne’s pizza revolution.

 

Ladro is passionate about the environment and has evolved its sustainable practices: It was the first restaurant in Melbourne to keep rooftop bees, uses bottle-less beer, wine and mineral water systems and has zero organic waste via a Closed-Loop composting system. It also makes it’s own wine and beer in collaboration with some of Australia’s finest growers and producers. Ladro’s local first ethos means it sources the finest local ingredients and then the best Italy has to offer.


Ladro in Fitzroy and Ladro TAP in Prahran are open every day, but now you can also cook Ladro at Home via their online supermarket - spend more time doing the things you love and less time over the stove!
