King’s Catering is proudly part of the much-loved Country Life Café, a Warrnambool institution that has been serving the community for more than 85 years. Rob took ownership in 2004, bringing with him a strong background in healthcare food services, having worked as a chef in a private hospital overseeing food preparation for patients with diverse dietary needs. Rob has continued the café’s long tradition as a working-class, ready-to-go meal venue that older locals, tradies and workers rely on for hearty meals.

Supporting Older Australians

King’s Catering began supporting Home Care Package and Support at Home in 2020. The service grew rapidly, and the team now supports 70–100 clients weekly.

Rob credits his healthcare background for shaping how he cooks for older Australians – focusing on meals that are nutritious, easy to eat, familiar and comforting. He genuinely loves looking after older people, values their feedback, and understands just how important accessible meals are for them.
