Frequently asked questions
While Kilter was created with pregnant and postpartum women in mind, our meals can be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates delicious, nourishing and preservative free food without the use of seed oils!
We believe that pregnancy and postpartum is a time for rest. If struggling with fatigue or all day sickness throughout pregnancy, preparing food is often the last thing you can be bothered doing, despite how important it is to nourish yourself at this time. By having nutritious meals ready to go we hope that more women will honour the fourth trimester and rest. We truly believe that when the mother is well looked after, so too will her baby. Less time spent in the kitchen = more time with baby.
Each meal has the ingredients listed in its description.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We release four weekly menus at the beginning of each month. Each menu will close the Wednesday prior to delivery which falls on a Monday for Albury/Wodonga + surrounds and Tuesday for Canberra, Wagga, Griffith and Deniliquin.
Yes, most definitely. We believe this is the greatest gift you can give! If you would like to include a few words add this to the ‘notes’ section when checking out and we’ll write it on a card and include it with your order.
When you purchase a gift card you can enter the recipients e-mail address who will receive your message and a unique code to apply when checking out. If you are wanting a physical gift certificate to be sent out please contact us. This will take 3 working days.
Please note: Gift cards purchased prior to 2023 may not work on our Cookaborough platform. Please contact us if this is the case and we can assist you with this.
Kilter uses Woolpack boxes and lining. Wool fibres are incredibly effective at absorbing moisture from the air, which minimises humidity and condensation to maintain stable temperatures. The food grade film which the wool is enclosed in is micro-perforated to allow the wool fibres to breathe. This creates the natural cooling system.
Our Pre Pac trays and the film on top are home compostable (please remove the sticker first). The box your food comes in is recyclable. The wool liner is home compostable and biodegradable, suitable to place in your green garden bin or to bury in your backyard, releasing valuable nutrients back into the garden. Planet protector packaging has many suggestions for other uses of your wool liner here https://planetprotectorpackaging.com/reuse/
The plastic tubs that our soup and salads comes in are recyclable, however we highly recommend keeping them and using them again.
The bags our granola and smoky fennel braised beans come in are recyclable.
