Coming from Europe, Fran fell in love with Aussie pies but soon became tired of the same old, uninspired flavours found across Melbourne. With experience from some of Melbourne’s finest restaurants, Fran launched Frankie’s Pie Shop in July 2024.
“I wanted to have a chef’s approach to pie making, not a baker’s approach. Our gourmet puff pastry pies & rolls are all handcrafted and we use nothing but the finest, locally sourced ingredients. We’re talking about real, top-quality ingredients - no shortcuts, and definitely no margarine bullsh*t!”
