BLOSSOM & VINE - Spring Menu Week 11
Harira is the national soup of Morocco and widely eaten throughout North Africa. It is a staple food normally eaten during the month of Ramadan to sustain people during their fasting period. There are so many versions of this soup and normally we offered the lamb version on our menu but now we bring you a nutrient packed vegetarian version using a variety of legumes such as chickpeas, brown and red lentils cooked with a selection of the season's best vegetables. This soup has all the restorative and comforting qualities that a good chicken soup should have. We have kept it lean and clean with a turmeric and ginger infused chicken stock and a super food list of the most nutritious vegetables. This soup is a super delicious vegan delight with our own house made ginger and dried shitake mushroom infused miso broth. It is boosted with so much flavour and texture from the siracha roasted tofu and miso roasted eggplant plus plenty of greens and of course soba noodles to make it a substantial and super nutritious meal. The broth is packaged separately and should be heated first before pouring over the other ingredients just to warm through. The noodles and greens can also be enjoyed as a salad with the broth as a side soup. Vg - Vegan, DF - Dairy Free
An all time favourite and one we had to put on by popular demand. Ours is extra special of course, using free range locally smoked ham hocks and unlike the dark green grey stodge you often see, ours is fresh and bright green perked up with the addition of a puree of fresh peas and mint. The most familiar and popular of all soups and a staple made by everyone's nonna. There are so many versions of minestrone in all regions throughout Italy and influenced by the seasons. This is our version brimming with flavour enhanced by the addition of smoked streaky bacon and Italian pork and fennel sausage. This soup is vacuum sealed and only available in the one size.
