For the South African or Zimbabwean, these need no introduction. The ones we make are the Cape Malay style koesisters with the warm spices, syrup and coconut (rather than the Koeksisters). Delivered chilled ready to heat, syrup and eat or to add to your freezer. Available in packs of 6, 12 or 24 and delivered already covered in syrup and coconut, or with syrup supplied separately so you can freeze them and then defrost and syrup when ready to enjoy them. Contains: cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, coconut, gluten, dairy

Ingredients

Mixed spice, Whole Nartjie, Sugar, Flour, Vegetable oil, Desiccated coconut, Egg, Yeast, Cinnamon, Salt, Cardamom, Ground ginger, Cardamom Pods, Cinnamon Sticks.

Preparation and storage notes

Freeze on day of purchase. When ready to eat, defrost in fridge overnight or in microwave. Heat syrup in a small pot and when its boiling, add the koesisters, turning over until well coated and the syrup has soaked in.
