Katsu Chicken Bao Bun Kit
Crunchy Katsu chicken bao buns, Tonkatsu sauce with pickled carrot, cucumber, coriander, shallot and chili. All wrapped up in a wonderfully light pillowy buns, served with a Japanese mayonnaise. Just heat and pop together to suit your taste. Great fun for kids!
Ingredients
Condiments (Cucumber, Tonkatsu Sauce, Chilli, Shallots, Coriander), Japanese Mayo (White soy, Rice vinegar), Chicken (Chicken thigh fillets, Panko, Eggs, Plain flour, Black sesame seed), pickled carrots (Carrots, Rice wine vinegar, Caster sugar, Salt), Bao Buns (Buns), Tonkatsu Sauce (Worcestershire sauce, Tomato Ketchup, Oyster sauce, Kecap Manis, Brown sugar, Garlic).
Preparation and storage notes
STORAGE: keep refridgerated COOK: Preheat oven to 180C. Remove lid and tonkastu sauce. Place chicken on a flat tray and cook for 10 mins. Take buns out of oven and cling wrap and microwave for 30-60 seconds. Alternatively, wrap in foil and bake at 150ºc oven for 5 minutes till hot.
