Ebden and Olive weekly menu for Friday 11th July
Our beautiful and hearty European Inspired menu is about to warm you from the inside, ensuring that you get through this Winter chill. Snow is on the Alps and whether you are planning a weekend away or simply staying rugged up at home, all the easy options are available. Oxtail Soup with German Potato cakes, Minestrone Soup, Apricot Chicken or Pan Fried Pork Chop lead the way with Golden Syrup Dumplings or the Rhubarb and Lemon Custard cake to finish. Soups & Broths
This soup is the king of winter soups. Chunks of oxtail have been cooked slowly in a beef broth until the meat is succulent and falling from the bone and anyone who has tried to cook oxtail will tell you how long it takes to cook! Parsnip, potato, carrot and onion marry well. The Kartoffelpuffer (German potato cakes) are the piece de resistance! Simply heat them in the oven and start dunking!!
A traditional version of this super tasty Italian soup. Ham hocks are gently simmered along with white beans, cabbage , tomato and vegetables to give you a hearty Tuscan soup. Dip your favourite bread and here's a meal thats low fuss and sure to not disappoint!
Meals - Ready to Eat
Slow cooked corned beef, braised carrots, potato puree and steamed green beans. the ultimate in home cooked meals.
Golden roasted chicken thigh, served with Roast potato, pumpkin and peas and gravy.
Our spin on an Aussie Classic. Chunks of tender chicken thigh in an apricot nectar sauce, served with spatzle noodles and green beans
Our meatloaf is moist and tender with a sticky, caramelised glaze. We serve it with our roast potatoes and pumpkin puree and some seasonal steamed greens. Just add a dollop of tomato sauce!
An old school favourite, loaded with chunks of Cauliflower and flaky tuna pieces, bound in a cheesy bechamel sauce, served seasonal vegetables
A lightly sauteed pork chop is accompanied by a roast apple wedge, crispy golden roesti potato cake, steamed green vegetables and served with an apple and cream sauce.
Another home style meal option for you that is made from scratch by us. Simply reheat and eat.

This is the epitome of all stews! French in origin and super tasty.. Beef is slow cooked with beef stock, red wine, onion, bacon lardons, carrots and button mushrooms until it is meltingly soft. The result is magnificent! Served with our steamed rice. Frozen
Slow cooked Beef ragout with red wine and tomato, layered with Cheesy béchamel sauce and pasta sheets. Everyone loves Lasagne. Why not try ours? Frozen.
The hero returns! Chicken, Leek and White Wine pie. Perhaps one of the all time E&O favourites, it's all killer, no filler in the taste department with this bad boy. We're not stuffing this with a bunch of unnecessary vegetables. You get chicken, leek and cheesy goodness and all the things that make it work and nothing that doesn't. You could serve this with vegetables. You probably won't. It's all about the pie here folks! Family size (large) pie serves four hungry adults.

Our Creamy Polenta is a great addition to several of our main dishes, but with loads of flavour, it's a star in its own right. Serves two as a main course accompaniment. You can reheat in the bag or cut it into chips and bake it in the oven!

Our giant ginger molasses cookies are loaded with gingery goodness. They're crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The perfect accompaniment to your favourite cuppa or just a great snack in between meals. Weighed at 100 gms for each biscuit. with 6 biscuits per pack.
Hand made pastry and custard make these caramelised custard tarts and firm favourite in the shop. They are the perfect size for morning tea or an after dinner treat! Best eaten the day they are made.
