Traditional Cloth Bound Christmas Pudding
What is Christmas without pudding? Our Christmas puddings are loaded with fruit that has been soaked in Brandy and lots of spices. With treacle, brown sugar, butter and almonds you can't go wrong. All you need now is some of our Brandy Custard. We have removed them from the cloth so that it is easier for you to heat at home. Our small pudding is approximately 500gm and serves 2. Medium is 1kg and serves 6. Large is 2kg and serves 10-12 people
Ingredients
Dates, Egg, Raisin, Currant, Sultana, Plain white flour, breadcrumbs, Milk, Suet, Dried orange peel, Butter, Brandy, Glace cherries, Treacle, Almond, SR Flour, Lemon zest, Ground ginger, Bicarb soda, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Mixed spice, Brown sugar.
Preparation and storage notes
Reheat unopened bag in a pot of gently simmering water. 500gm-45 minutes, 1kg- 1 hour, 2kg-2 hours. Carefully lift from the pot and open the bag to serve. Or , Microwaved cut pieces of the pudding for a few minutes or until hot.
