Slow cooked beef rendang with jasmine rice
One of Indonesia's most beloved dishes that has travelled around the world and adopted by other cuisines! The beef cooks in a mixture of aromatics, coconut milk, spices, and sweet and savory ingredients that infuse the beef with the perfect balance of savory, sour, sweet, and spicy. Rendang is considered a "slow-cooked dry curry', which means the sauce is slowly simmered down to a minimum. Served with steamed pok choy and jasmine rice, this is a simple midweek dinner the whole family will devour.
